Amtrak's Pennsylvanian heads west through the Packsaddle Gap near Torrance, PA on the former Pennsylvania Railroad Mainline, now the Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Line.
On the left, the Norfolk Southern Conemaugh line is visible. The Conemaugh is a low-grade mainline that handles most of the heavy Eastbound trains between Pittsburgh and New Florence, PA.
Separating the two railroads is the Conemaugh River.
